The person behind the work

Hi, I’m Burqaa.

I’m a senior at The Ohio State University, studying Communication Technologies with a concentration in Human-Computer Interaction and UX/UI Design. I graduate in December 2026.

As an Undergraduate Research Assistant, I support UX research through facilitating studies, surveys, and user interviews. I’m drawn to the space between what people need and what a system actually makes possible.

Writing is a core part of my practice, from research reports and theory-grounded proposals to presentation and interview scripts. I care about making ideas as clear as the interfaces they inform.

I’m interested in human-centered AI and public-sector UX, including opportunities with federal and civic-tech consultancies. I’m also exploring graduate programs in human-centered computing in the DC, Maryland, and Virginia region.
